Children's Ministry

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”  Mark 10:14

Jesus has always highly regarded children.  At College Heights we want to follow Christ’s example.  Our goal is for the children of our church to realize how much the God of the Universe loves them and to fully integrate them into the fellowship and ministry of the church body.  We desire that the children of our church make Jesus more important than anything else. 

The words of the old children’s song still ring true – “Jesus loves the little children.”  And so do we.

Nursery (Birth-4 Years Old)

Our nursery is not simply a babysitting service, but it is a vital ministry of our church.  Our goal to minister to our children begins here.  We provide a safe place for your child to play, listen to music, read and snack by being Safe Sanctuary approved.  Our nursery is available during the Contemporary Service, Sunday School and Traditional Service.

Checking In/Out
One of our Nursery Volunteers should meet you at the door to receive your child, diaper bag and other necessary items.  Parents will sign-in and receive an ID bracelet that matches the number given their child.  Parents should inform the Nursery Volunteers of any pertinent information regarding their child (feeding times, food allergies, etc.).  When the parent returns to pick the child up, the same parent should bring their ID bracelet with them.

Children’s Church (5 Years Old-4^th Grade)

Midway through the Contemporary Service and Traditional Service, children are invited to Children’s Church.  This ministry can be found in Memory Hall is a safe place for children to worship and learn about Jesus Christ.  Our Children’s Church Volunteers are Safe Sanctuary approved. 

Sunday School

From 10:00 AM-11:00 AM on Sundays we offer Sunday School classes for our children:

Ages 3-Kindergarten
Grades 1-2
Grades 3-5

Jesus Seekers

During the school year, our children (ages 3-5^th Grade) meet every Wednesday from 6:30 PM-7:30 PM for Bible study, activities, and more.  Our children learn about biblical stories and participate in Christmas plays, carnivals and games.  Jesus Seekers is a great place to invite new children to experience College Heights.

Puppet Ministry

One of the most active parts of our Children’s Ministry is the Puppet Ministry.  The goal of this ministry is to share Jesus through laughter and music with puppets - from ages 1 to 101.  Our students perform, travel and even occasionally write scripts for the Puppet Ministry.  The Puppet Ministry is a wonderful tool for children to learn ministry is not something that begins when they get older, but can begin now.
