Youth Ministry

Yes.  We wear capes sometimes.

Youth Ministry

I could describe our youth ministry with all the cool buzzwords one is supposed to use like "extreme" or "fun."  I could go in to details about past events or activities in hopes of attracting you.  I could even try to paint a picture of the perfect youth group.

Here's the truth: we are a community of students and adult leaders seeking to make Jesus Christ more important than anything else.  There are some days where it feels like we are doing pretty well at achieving this goal.  Then there are the days where we fall way short.  Youth ministry can be messy. Life can be messy.  But through the good and bad days, Jesus is Immanuel - God with us.

Our youth ministry is seeking to make disciples that love Jesus in the good and in the bad; in the joys and in the hurts; in the ups and downs of life.  In a world where most people are simply getting by we looking to make authentic disciples of Jesus Christ.

I guess that might be "extreme."

HONDURAS MISSION TRIP 2012

We will be taking an international mission trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras in the summer of 2012. We will leave on Saturday, June 23 and return on Saturday, June 30. We will be partnering with Sparrow Missions, a missions organization based out of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky (www.sparrowmissions.com).

Honduras MapThis trip is open to high school students and above. In the past we have only been able to take 5-7 adults, but this year our trip is open to many more adults. Middle school students are welcome to come, but must be accompanied by a parent.  San Pedro Sula is the second largest city in Honduras and there are great needs. We will have an opportunity to share the love of God with the wonderful people of this city.

If you are interested for more information about this trip, please email Joe Bennett.
